Public Safety Work Group Update

With the impetus the George Floyd murder, the LWV of Denver Public Safety Study Group has been working for over a year on identifying the issues around public safety and policing.  As part of that process, we have interviewed several individuals and reviewed many published reports at the national, state, and local levels.  The linked document includes a summary of our interview with Denver City Council members Paul Kashman and Jamie Torres.  See the document HERE

Voter Service Wrap-up

Voter service has done a review and critique of their accomplishments for the November election and they're preparing for the next one!   The Voter Service Committee will be looking for help with speaker's bureau, pros and cons writeups, distribution of pamphlets, and other activities.

A review of a variety of the many voter guides published for the November election showed that our Pros and Cons booklet was the most unbiased.

Please contact Jeanette Scotland or Anne Duncan now if you'd like to participate in working on the next election.

Jeanette Scotland and Anne Duncan, Voter Service co-chairs.

If you would like to attend any  the December 8 sessions, please let Fran Coleman info@lwvdenver.org know so that we can give you the proper permissions in the system.

Bulb Sale Wrap-up
This year's sale is over and was a financial success, meeting our budget goal. We donated our extra bulbs to Denver Park horitculturists who have arranged for volunteers to plant them.  See more in the December-January Voter.
