The 30th annual LWV Denver Bulb Sale starts NOW! This sale funds our office rent and helps support our staff expenses.
Ways to Order
1. NEW THIS YEAR -- Please click HERE to see our automated storefront where either members or non-members can purchase bulbs using a credit card or PayPal. This site works just like any other catalog website. You can also make donations to Beautify Denver or LWV Denver using the automated storefront.
2. You can download and print the Bulb Sale Order Form and Bulb Photos, fill out the form and mail it (as you did last year).

The clerk and recorder's office is holding a job fair for people interested in a job with the Elections Division.

Please plan to attend the LWV Denver's annual meeting on Saturday, May 14 at 9:00 AM via zoom. Please register for the meeting HERE. Our speaker will be Dr. Dawn Davenport, Vice President, Child & Family Services at Mental Health Center of Denver. Dr. Davenport has worked for the Mental Health Center of Denver for over a decade. She oversees Child & Family Services and is located at Dahlia Campus for Health & Well-Being. She has held the role of psychologist, Program Manager for Home-based Services and, most recently, the Director of Clinical Services.

Voter Service -- Registration Training Sessions
Any member can provide voter registration, but you must be trained. We have scheduled one additional voter registration training session in May:

Greetings League members.
You are formally invited to the 55th League of Women Voters National Convention.
This year, our Convention will be a fully hybrid experience, with both combined and unique experiences for in-person and virtual attendees. All information related to Convention, including registration and hotel bookings, can be found at https://www.lwv.org/manage-your-league/council-convention.
League members are invited to attend Convention as voting delegates or as observers. Check out the registration tab at https://www.lwv.org/manage-your-league/council-convention to learn more. Registration is open until June 6.
Convention is a League experience unlike any other, where League members come together to network, learn, and chart the course for the next biennium. We hope you will join us in Denver or online in June!

Commander Kimberly Bowser and Lt. Michele Folmar of the Denver Police Department (DPD) presented information on the priorities and goals of the Denver Police Department. Kim Bowser is the newly appointed Commander of District 6 – Denver’s downtown and crime hot spot. She was formerly the Director of Training for the DPD. Lt. Folmar is the new Director of Training, replacing Commander Bowser. The two discussed the initiatives that DPD has undertaken to focus department resources on crime hotspots and on the improvements in training undertaken since the George Floyd protests in June 2020.

Denver's Nationally Recognized STAR and Co-Responder Programs

Denver has been nationally recognized for innovations in behavioral health that boost the effectiveness of community policing in Denver with the addition of public health strategies. Chris Richardson, LCSW, Mental Health Center of Denver, and Carleigh Sailon, LCSW, were instrumental in the design, development, and management of the Co-responder and STAR programs in Denver.
