There is an opportunity to get a constitutional amendment on the 2024 ballot that would enshrine the right to an abortion in the Colorado constitution. LWV Colorado is an early endorser of Ballot Initiative 89. The next step is to collect more than 185,000 signatures by mid-March to place the proposal on the ballot.  If you would like to help by collecting signatures, you must attend a training session.  The LWVCO will provide the first training via Zoom on January 3 (register here). LWVD will also have training on January 9 at Montview Presbyterian.  While the time and room location are not yet certain, please contact Leah Audin (LWVDenver Initiative 89 coordinator) at l.audin@comcast.net or 303-282-8529 to let her know you are interested.  This will allow us to choose a suitable room for the training.
