Update on Training Opportunities!
LWV Colorado is an early endorser of Ballot Initiative 89, which would enshrine the right to an abortion in the Colorado constitution. To do this we need to join those collecting more than 185,000 signatures by mid-March to place the proposal on the ballot. We've already received requests for petition gatherers. If you would like to help by collecting signatures, you must attend a training session.

Observatory Unit | Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Marade
January 15, 2024
Meet us at 9:00 a.m. on the road East of the MLK statue at City Park. Look up for the League sign! Rather than a march, which is a protest event, the Marade is a celebratory parade born out of protest. It's been forty years since the holiday was established in Colorado and every year since, Denver has honored the slain leader on or near his January 15th birthday. We Leaguers will walk together about a mile to Civic Center Park where numerous speakers will celebrate Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Let's let our presence show our support for unity, inclusion, equity and diversity.
