League of Women Voters of Denver supports eligible youth to register other youth to vote and helps schools/partners host registration opportunities.


Host a registration drive:

Step 3: Promote to students
Step 4: Run the drive + follow-up

What LWV Denver can provide: volunteer circulators, training for student leaders, materials, and nonpartisan guidance.

Resources / toolkit:

  • Train as Circulators: to register fellow students to vote. You can then also assist LWVDenver register voters at events in the Denver area.
  • Resources LWVDenver provides - paper registration forms, clipboards, online links, flyers

  • High School Voter Registration Resources from the Denver Clerk and Recorder's Office (flyer templates and graphics)
  • Community partners: League can provide introductions to local area resources, like The Civic Center, Mi Famila Vota, etc.

  • U.S. Citizens
  • 18 years or older
  • Pre- register staring at 15 years
  • Resident of the state for 22 days prior to election in order to vote in that election
  • Not currently serving a sentence for a felony conviction

  • Paper registration forms due 22 days before the election to receive a mail ballot
  • Online registration forms due 8 days before the election to receive a mail ballot
  • Can register and vote in person at Voter Service and Poling Centers 15 days before the election and on Election Day until 7:00 p.m. (See County Clerk websites for more specifics)

What should students bring to be able to register to vote?
What should students bring to be able to register to vote?

Students need the following information to complete their voter registration:

  • Current Colorado Drivers License/Permit or Colorado State ID number OR Social Security Number (last 4 digits)
  • Current Residential Address
  • Date of Birth (DOB)

When holding a registration drive, please do not wear any partisan clothing or buttons and ensure all advertising and signs are non-partisan and school appropriate.
